level of difficulty

| Howdy,
In the last two months, I have passed the CompTia A+ hardware and OS exams
and the CompTia Network+ exam. The Network+ exam was not that easy for me.
In fact, I barely failed it on a Friday and passed it the following Monday.
(And it would be the most expensive of all of the tests I plan to take)
I am currently studying for the 70-210 and 70-215 exams, to be closely
followed by 70-218. I hope to take the 210 exam in two weeks, and the 215
exam the week following.
Having failed the Network+ exam has me a little scared. My question is...
Is the 70-210 or -215 exams as hard as the Network+ exam. I understand
everyone is different, and the level of difficulty may be in education and
experience, but a general consensus would help.
I will post this in both newsgroups to increase my chances of replies.
Thanks in advance for any response,
Chili

If you are just starting now, two weeks sounds rather optimistic. It
depends on your background and how much time you can put into it of
course, but 1 month per exam is more likely. And you'll need to know some
of the 215 material to pass 210 ( RIS, GPO, security )

I haven't taken Net+, I have just begun reading the Groth book and I'd
say based on the content of that book, that 210 is not any easier, maybe
harder, BUT it's different enough to say don't give up because of a bad
expirience with Net+.

You may as well cross-post in this case so that both groups see all the
replies.

| i took and passed 70-210 after less than 2 weeks of studying but I have a
lot of experience with Windows 2000 Pro and some 2000 Server
I was studying the 2nd Edition MCSE training kit core requirements series
.... this was entirely from their book BTW which was pretty decent. The first
edition doesn't have quite as much as the 2nd does.

I would say that the MCSE exams are harder than the Network+ which is harder
than both A+ exams. I would recommend getting a very good grip on the
material needed for 70-210 and 70-215 and get hands-on experience.

| -210 was harder than I thought it would be
-215 looks quite a bit tougher
CCNA was easiest (and still very tough for me)
but all this has to do with my level of experience in each
I'm sure the same will prove true for you
