sorry to be a wise crack here but if you start out basic (like tommnor said )and make sure you have association with the root access point then you can configure your repeater. remember though that when you do you are losing at least 50% percent of your through put due to the fact that you are using a half duplex device to repeat everything between ap and clients. this may not seem relevant to this discussion but it is. Also go to cisco .com and read the instructionns on repeater set up. it will clarify everything.
