For those that have not seen it yet, a new CWAP (Certified Wireless Analysis Professional) certification has been announced. I am in the process of trying to get into the beta class in April and will let everyone know how it goes.

Here is where you can get more info on it:

Who is teaching the Beta class? April is a little early for me. I'm looking to finish up the CWSP (take the class and the exam) in June and then tackle this certification.

When I spoke with Devin, he indicated that he would be the one teaching it.

All that is required for this class is the CWNA, so it should be fun.

Anyone who is planning on attending, let me know. I told Devin I would take him out to dinner one evening while there. Maybe we can make an evening out of it.

The class is in Atlanta...however, I just got notified by Kevin that the class is full. So it looks like I am going to be in a "train the trainer" class (also in Atlanta) on May 24-28. If you plan on attending, book fast as it appears to really be filling up quickly.

I'll be teaching both the Beta and the TTT classes here in Atlanta. ;-) Guess I'll see at least one of you there, eh? These classes fill VERY VERY quickly (the beta filled beyond capacity in 9 days), and the TTT class is approaching full already...and we haven't announced anything to anyone. That's good. :-D These are going to be some really awesome classes. We're using the LATEST of everything, and much of the stuff we'll be showing you is brand new with the latest feature sets. I've spent much time with the manufacturers working on getting little issues tweaked for the software and hardware we're using. After teaching for a while, you get burned out somewhat, but I can tell you that I'm looking forward to teaching these classes - this technology is simply awesome.

Devin:

Kevin confirmed via email that I am in the TTT class in May...so at least you will be getting a good dinner out of it...compliments of my company! So be thinking about a good resturant to go to. I don't know about you, but you don't have to twist my arm very hard to make me eat a good steak! <LOL!>

Anyway...if anyone from the forums is attending, please let me know...would love to meet you.

And Devin is not kidding...I had to wait a couple of days to get approval on payment from my company and the beta class was already sold out. I was lucky to get into the TTT class.

Devin...does the cost include taking the test?

Thanks and looking forward to meeting you. You can't be half as bad as Keith Parsons says you are! <grin!>

Thanks!

Sorry, but at that price, the test is NOT included. ;-) I suspect these classes will be selling at LIST price ($2500) from our training partners for quite a while, but eventually (as with all things) the price will slowly fall. Getting into the CWAP class as a beta or TTT at such a cheap price will be a rare find. PM Kevin for dates please.
