hi
it would be a good idea to do your CCNA because it would then certify you to be knowledgable on wired networks before you head out to wireless.
I'm a ccna and i'm now about to give CWNA and i think my knowledge as a network security professional and my CCNA gives me an edge.
if you have time, do your CCNA first. If you're a working professional, dont waste more time.
good luck.

We recommend that CWNA candidates have CCNA or Net+ or *equivalent knowledge* based on hands on experience. So, to answer your question, yes, CCNA before CWNA is a good idea.

You need to know networking basics before you can learn wireless networking.

Good luck,

one thing I'd like to emphasise for both exams - CCNA and CWNA - get some hands on exposure... nothing like it. Cos once u get the cert on only book knowledge, application will be a lot tougher.
btw - r u in E/C ?
