The number of simultaneously active co-located systems is more scalable with which spread spectrum technology?

A. FHSS
B. DSSS
C. IrDA
D. 802.11b

i would go with FHSS not too sure though.
if co-located means, a lot of AP's nearby, without interference, my personal experience would be to go for FHSS

Should be FHSS. It has 26 hop patterns.
DSSS only has MAX 3.

Remember, there is more to scalability than just the number of co-located access points...

Scalability in terms of NUMBER of access points, then FHSS obviously. But after 16 or so access points, doesn't the data rate drop due to interference if the AP's aren't setup properly?

I'd say DSSS.

Like I said, remember that Scalability does not necessarily mean a maximum number of APs. Cost comes into play as well...check the CWNA study guide where it talks about this.
