Hello,

Has anyone here had any luck/experience with either PTP optics or Milliwave gear? I have a client that's losing their gigabit fiber right of way and need to push > 1Gbps over the air. Below are two of the possibilities I am investigating:

Any thoughts or advice would kick tail!

Thanks,

hai there

1 GB over FSO ? , make sure the HOP is less than 1 KM.

I have a few FSO installations but in none i could acheive 1 GBPS.

For the 100 Mbps product, we could get 60-70 Mbps.

Milli-wave ?, make sure you order one radio pair for backup as they the ODUs have high failure rate, and dont forget Rain attenuation in the FadeMargin Calculation.

these are some of the installed products here.

I am only going 0.3mi
Actually the oxygen attentuation will be a good thing for me in this application.
I'd rather do the 60Ghz stuff instead of FSO anyway.
I'll keep you posted on the progress.
