| Was out sick yesterday, flu.
But back on track with the QoD.
Easy one today, just because it's Friday.
You are an administrator of a Windows 2000 domain located in the MrFixIt Company. You are designing the login process for all the users at this company. You need all users to be able to log in to Windows 2000 from any Windows 2000-based computer. You also have several users who will never log in at any computer other than their own. Management wants to understand which options are available. You need to be able to explain all the potential options and what they do. What different kinds of user profiles are available in Windows 2000?
A) Local, roaming, and mandatory
B) Local, roaming, and required
C) Local, mandatory, and secure
D) Roaming, local, and directory-based
See you Monday with the answer. Have a great weekend! | |

Been busy today! (Makes the day go faster!)
Here is the answer. (As if you didn't already know. )
Local profiles are stored on a specific computer and are available only from that computer. Roaming profiles are stored in a central location (such as on a file server) and are accessed when a user logs in to any machine. Mandatory profiles are roaming profiles that have been designated as read-only.
No QoD today, sorry. Maybe tomorrow. Been getting busy lately. |
