I passed the 218 exam yesterday, with much thanks to those who posted info here. I was very surprised to see so many performance based questions that were covered in the 210 and 215. Most, otherwise, were OU, DHCP and DNS with a spattering of IIS.

I have passed the 210, 215 and 218. While I have one more test to complete, I am considering taking the A+ and using it with my N+ (already have) to fulfill the final testing requirement. That would leave me with 4 more tests to take for MCSE instead of 3 (I believe)

I just wanted to get some general feedback on whether or not that would be valuable, or if I should just continue with the ms tests.

WTG, i am studing for the 218 now.
take the A+ to complete the mcsa oter wise it will not count for your mcse

I am not sure what point ghaouf is trying to make since his statement does not really make sence as it reads, but it appears what he is trying to say is wrong:

The A+ and Net+ do not count towards the MCSE, only the MCSA. If you pass A+, you will still have to take 4 more exams to be MCSE, but you will have your MCSA in the mean time.

If you think you will look to enter the job market as a hardware tech, I would go for the A+ since many employers require it.

If you are looking to enter the market as a help desk tech or have hopes to be an administrator of some sort, just take an elective that will count towards both the MCSA and MCSE.

Unless you are under some type of pressure from your employer to complete the MCSA or obtain an A+, I would do both if your have the time and $$

No matter which you choose, you take your knowledge with you wherever you go, so you have nothing to lose.
