Good response to yesterday's QoD! Here is today's:

Your network is broken down into 12 sites. Of the 12 sites, 11 are on the same network at one location, and 1 is at a remote location that uses RRAS and demand dial routing to access the main office through a VPN on the Internet. You want to ensure that the replication will work between all sites. What should you do?

A)Create connection objects between controllers in each site.
B)Create the site links and assign the correct cost and availability.
C)Create the required site links and site link bridge.
D)Create the required site links and site link bridges, and then create connections between servers at different locations.

See you tomorrow!

Boy! Must have been an off-day yesterday. Only 3 replies.

The answer is:

Your network is broken down into 12 sites. Of the 12 sites, 11 are on the same network at one location, and 1 is at a remote location that uses RRAS and demand dial routing to access the main office through a VPN on the Internet. You want to ensure that the replication will work between all sites. What should you do?

B)Create the site links and assign the correct cost and availability.

All you need to do is create the site links, and the KCC (Knowledge Consistency Checker) will create the connections. The KCC will use transitive bridging (automatic bridging) to connect all the sites. You could create a site link bridge and turn off transitive bridging, but there is no stated reason to do either in the question. This means answers C and D are incorrect. Answer A is also incorrect because you want the KCC to deal with this so it can adapt the connections to network conditions.

See you later with the next QoD.
