| Hello everybody!
I'm new on this forum...I found it looking for some informations on the 70-218 exam! everything I read was very usefull and I really think that's the best place over the whole www to find usefull informations!
I'm heading to the MCSA/MCSE and I have 2 MCP's (210-215) and tomorrow I'll try to pass the 70-218...
I have only one question (the answer will make my night easier or harder...) : I worked with some books and I made the Transcender exams and passed them, but everybody here seems to say that these exams are not good...
should I be crying now because I can't postpone my exam?

Did you study hard? if you did, you do not have nothing to worry about, because 70-218 is probably the most easier test of all the MCSA/MCSE track. You just have to be clear in some aspects like DNS, GPO, and NTFS permissions.
Transcender is not the best for this test. But anyway...if you pass other exams too, then it's time to take the "real fun".
My 2 cents: don't worry, and think positive. You'll pass the test. Just take a good sleep before taking the test. | |

50 questions and a lot more difficult than I could read in some posts...I had a lot of DNS (like 15-20 question, really!) and a lot of GPO's and OU's...the other questions were about RRAS, DHCP, troubleshooting and network related problems (ipconfig). I hadn't a single question about a subnets or calcutate a range of addresses...
And I can confirm, the Transcender tests (that were very good for the 210 and 215) were not soooo good to prepare for this test, although I found some very usefull informations too...but don't rely on these test for the 218.
now, I don't which exam will be the next...217 or 216? if u have some advices...thank you!

COngratulations!!!
If you feel more comfortable with network concepts go for 216. If you like AD go for 217.

I really don't know which one I'm going to take next...216 seems pretty hard to pass...

Great news! I knew you could do it. Now, you can focus yourself to 216. It's a hard test, but you should have the DNS concepts still fresh. Besides, if you pass it, you'll sleep well, 'cause 216 is maybe the more difficult test on the MCSE road.
Do a lot of practice for the 216, and make a home lab if you can. After 216 & 218, 217 will be a piece of cake. | |

I think I'm going to work on the 216 now...seems pretty hard...
I checked people reactions after the exam in the 216 forum and  ! I'm configuring my little lab to work on it! (1 DC, 1 client 2K Pro, 1 client 98, a router (act as a DHCP too) ).
