| Hey!
how are you doin' forum friends!
I'm great! very happy. Tomorrow i will start my third week working in "Hewlett Packard" Aguadilla, and things are working well! These 2 weeks have been very hard, specially because i have had to combine my time with the University classes, but i'm sure i'm able to do that.
By the way, i have a english assigment. It consists of make a free writing of some place; describe it using the vocabulary's book. I already finish it, but would like to hear opinions of my forum friends trying to find gramatical or sintax errors on it. I want an "A",hahaha, so, that's because it is so important. Here's the paragraph:
My new Office.
My new office in Hewlett Packard is great! It’s not so big, just about 1mt2, i think, but all things are so well organized on the desk that they invite to work.
The place is extremely peaceful. All Systems Engineers and co-workers make their daily work almost silently.
The chair is very comfortable; so comfortable that i think it could heal any back pain.
My desk has “L” shape and my PC monitor is in the middle of the “L”. At my left hand is the color bubble printer (HP, of course), mostly used by Mr. Octavio and Alba. And at my right hand i have a free space that i use for write and taking notes, or put the new PC’s to work on. I have my own phone too, just right to the left of the PC monitor.
The work environment is very nice. It affects me positively because i’m the kind or person who need harmony and noiseless places to work. Sometimes people and partners speak on the phone or between them, but always using the right volume, so that’s ok for me.
Grey and white are the ruling colors but they make a good balance with the rest of the office decoration.
I spend walking 15 minutes from my new apartment to the HP Main Gate. A good exercise because I have to make this walk 2 times per day; in fact, first 2 days the pain on my feet was “killing me”. From HP Main Gate to the office itself there are 5 minutes more.
The HP industrial complex at Aguadilla is very big. I get lost three times the first day. I had to practice with my news office partners how to find or reach Building 2 (where my office is located).
This job is one of the best thing have happened to me this year. I know it won’t be easy to combine my University studies with my new job, specially because I still have no car at Aguadilla, neither a PC or a telephone (very useful for my online classes) but my wife and supervisor support have had a great boost on me during these 2 weeks. That makes me feel confident and almost sure that I’ll get an “A” on each of my classes, like previous semester, and that I’ll do a good job too.

Usually, we would say, " I spend 15 minutes walking from ......."
But hey, you're blessed to be working in " HP". It's well known for it's culture.
Been to a HP Printer Service Center twice, yes, they serve drinks , internet access, TV for free, while waiting. They even ask me & gave me an umbrella, when I was leaving with the printer, when the rain started to fall...
HP give a lot of attention to 'image' & 'service'. Though I was'nt impress when they told me on the phone, I have to bring down the printer for service

| Good Luck at HP! I used to work for Compaq before the merger, and it was the greatest experience of my professional life. Type your assignment in MS word and have it check the grammar. | |

| Hola jocampo, congratulations on your new job.
The essay is fine. I like it! Very descriptive. Just a few changes:
A few corrections:
"It’s not so big, just about 1mt2, i think,"
- It's not that big, maybe, 1 or 2 meters.
All Systems Engineers and co-workers make their daily work almost silently
- Change "make" to "do"
My desk has “L” shape and my PC monitor is in the middle of the “L”. At my left hand is the color bubble printer (HP, of course), mostly used by Mr. Octavio and Alba.
- My desk is L-shaped
my wife and supervisor support have had a great boost on me during these 2 weeks.
- my wife and supervisor have been supportive and have given me a great boost...
