Hi everyone,

After the MCSA, I am currently decide to study for MCSE, and I know I have four more exams to take. The 216 and 217 are core, and I want to know some suggestions for what other two should I take? 219, 228, 229 or any?

Thanks.

For designing exam you have to select from the security, AD or Network Infrastructure.

Most candidates take the Active directory Infrastructure exam (70-219) , may because it is the easist one as I read once. But that depends on what things you like to learn and master, if you like security subjects as exmaple, then you should go for the security exam.

For the elective exam, it depends also. For example if you like databases and SQL you may go for 70-229 or 70-228. By taking one of them you will be MCSE, but you can then take just the other one and become MCDBA! (228, 229, 215, 216) beside your MCSE. It is your decesion and it depends on your cuurent skills, what you like to laarn and what certs you want to achieve.

Good luck with your next exams.

Thanks for the link.
The information posted on this link is very valuable for me. Now i´m pretty sure i don´t must take 70221. Instead i must make like almost all people: take 219...... is the easy one...... and AD design is important for network design..... not doubt......

anyways now i´m out of all study after i regularize my situation on Mexico....... thanks for the link.

men...... 219 is a design exam. you need 219 as a obligation...... and i recommend only one design in the track.

So, should I take 219 and 229 for these two elective exams with 216 and 217 to finish the MCSE tracks, and then take the 228 as extra credit to finish the MCDBA? Thanks.
