| Hello;
I have a old P-133 that I'm installing WIN2K server on. This machine has three 1GB hard drives and I'm looking for ideas on the best way to utilize all of the disk space. Ideally, I would like the machine to recognize these 3 drives as a single 3GB drive prior to installation, but I guess that is not possible without using a RAID controller. Any ideas would be appreciated.

| You can add the drives after the install of Win2000 server as folders on the drive. OR Yes you can get a raid ctr. and strip them into 3gb. you mite want to check out what you can get one for (a cheap one).
However I thought there was a problem installing server on a 1gb drive. I know that's the min. but I readed something check out the windows 2000 mag site. www.win2000mag.com

| Some of the problems that I see are:
a) min. req. 2GB HD space with 1GB available.
b) system and boot partitions cannot be part of striped volume.
c) Win 2K can only see what is there before install. If you want software raid, you need to install the OS first. |
