I have never taken 216, but I can bet it's probably just as hard as 218. 218 is a couple of exams bundled into one. I already failed 218 once.

CompTIA i-Net+ does not count for anything MCSA. However it will get you a waiver for CIW Associate (for a $60 processing fee).

CompTIA A+: This for basic computer hardware/os troubleshooting.
CompTIA Network+: This for basic network design/troubleshooting.
CompTIA Server+: Never took this one, but I believe it is for server hardware troubleshooting.

CompTIA Network+: Basic networking knowledge
CompTIA iNet+: Basic internet/eCommerce knowledge
CompTIA Server+: Basic knowledge of technologies relevant to servers

From what I've heard, Server+ is the hardest of the bunch.

216 was definitely harder than 218!
