But do you have to take the 218 for the MCSA track or can you use your A+ and Net+ as a sub. Thanks for the help in advance.

210, 215 and 218 are the core exams, A+ and N+ or A+ and Srv+ can be the elective.
If you take 216 it can serves as MCSA elective and MCSE...

You have to take the 218, it is one of the 3 "core" MCSA exams. However, you can use your A+ & Net+ to sub for the elective that's required for MCSA!
