| Today I passed 218. I am now a MCSA. The exam was not straight forward for me because I haven't taken 216 or 217. I did study gpo's a lot and it payed off. the exam was a combination of GPO's, IIS, DNS, DHCP and some troubleshooting questions. I used ITChina practice test which I can say is a good investment. I'm done with this microsoft track and will be moving on to cisco certification track. Good luck to everyone in your cerfication's quest. | |

| Good job my friend! Congrats on your MCSA.
Try to stay away from that ITChina practice stuff though.

I did not use it for braindumps. I used it because I heard it is a good measure to test your knowledge with some real questions. I use the moc and studied it from cover to cover. Transcenders sucked so bad that I need to get something to gauge where I was at. I don't braindump. I did not get where I am today by braindumping. That is a cheap way to go and will get you nowhere when you are faced with a live situation.

| My apologies for my "assumption" - however, ChinaIT has had a very bad reputation for a very long time now. However, you are the one that used it, so you tell me - is it as bad as everyone says it is? Did you see the same questions on the test? | |

Pavlov: It's sort of ironic that ChinaIT is actually one of today's sponsored links on the examnotes.net homepage.

Pavlov,
I've seen you post quite a bit in this forum and I respect your intentions but please allow me to explain myself in a little detail.
I think there are some questions that are very similar but I would have not gotten through the exams based solely on their material because I did not try to rememberize the guide. I did think that their questions allow me to measure my knowledge (strenghts and weaknesses). You see some very similar questions in these formum's (question of the day)also which we all learn from.
You can use these quides in two ways:
1. rememberize the questions
2. Use the question to measure your knowledge and learn from the questions.
This is the way I used the quide. It allowed me to go back and see why my answer was right or wrong. From my experience with IT test, it is best to use all available material to study for these exams. I am not giving my money to Uncle Bill without getting something in return. Using study material that is not endorsed by MS is my choice. I agree with you on braindumps and sites that offer to sell you material that are a close resemblence to the test. They degrade the integrity of certifications. My feeling is use what you want but use it to learn the material and not to rememberize questions solely for the purpose to pass the exam.

| Well done on the pass, I want to take this one soon as well. I am having trouble with IIS as I cannot even create a web page so that it can be loaded once I create a web site. I agree with your point on ChinaIT also, if these companies are fround upon so much by the sites users, then why is it that the site advertises them? | |
