| Is it only me or are others who are using the MS Press book getting a little dizzy? The Chapter on VPN's is enough to want to make me scream. | |

| RRAS (all the VPN stuff plus some NAT and routing protocols for good measure), was the toughest part of network infrastructure for me (and for a lot of other people from what I have read). I see that you have passed 210 and 215 so far... use the foundation you get in 218 as a prep for 216. Most of the 218 VPN related questions I got were on the client side of a VPN and troubleshooting... 216 won't be that easy on you. Throw some labs together, and the whole thing will make a lot more sense when you are testing. Good luck! | |

Hey Tech,
You may want to pick up a copy of "Readiness Review for 216" (MS press). It does a very good job of directing you to the areas you need to know. I used it for both 216 and 218.
70-216 is pretty harsh compared to 70-218. Don't waste time on any one question. Check it for review, AND answer it. Come back later. On 218 you can take a little more time. I found that I could usually eliminate at least 1 answer right away, sometime 2.
There seem to be two types of 70-216 test. Heavily RRAS or heavily WINS. The wins is the easiest, obviously. I have yet to talk to anyone who had a balanced test. This seems to be the reason that they went to pass/fail. With 70-218 they all seemed to be fairly balnced.
Hope that helps. | |

| Seriously tech after completing all the cores first, I used the 218 book as a refresher to what i covered on the core. MS always likes to spill out so much information when at times it's not needed. |
