| Well, I sat down to the 218 this afternoon and passed. For a certification that doesn't require 217 there sure were a lot of active directory questions. One might say it was mostly AD questions. So be prepared. These were all new questions that were not incorporated in any of the previous exams. It's fair but don't be lazy. It's a good refresher.
Here's the top subjects covered in order of prevalence.....
AD Policy and filtering
Application install via policy
Publishing items in AD
Security Groups
Routing Basics
Subnetting
ICS
DNS
DHCP
Performance tuning Nt2k
WINS
Best of Luck now on to the next.

| Cert 21 has loads of questions on IIS. I thought the exam would put a lot of emphasis on this. | |

| Nicely done on passing the exam.
But my theory still stands true.
MS developed a chain of exams with numbers going in order.
So in theory for example, if you are preparing for 70-219. You better know all which was discussed in all the exams previous to this one. 210, 215, 216, 217, 218.
The numbers are a chain and the higher you go the more you need to recollect. At least that's how i am going

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHH
HHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
HHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
That would have been too easy, there were maybe 2 questions on IIS. AD and routing were really heavy and I wouldsay that there were about 8 questions total applicable specifically to server and desktop.

A nice hypothesis but I don't know if we can back it up with any real proof however I do think they're becoming more adept at rotating questions.
