As far as I am aware, no score is given (or have seen one published) it is either a PASS or FAIL unless of course someone knows different!!

that is interesting. If Microsoft makes this the standard- where you don't know what score is passing, it will definitely make things harder- or more nerve racking at the least! I would like hear people's opinions on this...I am personally not a supporter of the new policy about not giving you your score at the end of the exam. certs are alot of effort/studying, and I don't know about the rest of the people out there, but after I am done, I like seeing that "920" or whatever if I do well. I can understand microsoft is trying to make it harder for people to write the braindumps or whatever, but if they want to stop that, they should be going after the dump sites, not the average joe who studies his/her butt off and wants to see their score.

To me, the score is not really important for that's not what I aim for while doing study and preparation.

Of course, I'll be much happier and proud of myself if I see a score of 900 or above at the end of the test. And I'll feel very lucky if my score is just a bit above the passing score.

I think that's the only difference for me. Or at least that's what I think for now. I'll see if I'll feel otherwise after I take my test tomorrow.

anthonie,

thanks for your reply, and i wish you the best of luck on the exam! If you get a minute, reply to this thread tomorrow and let me know what you thought of the exam, the material on the questions or whatever.

I think I am going to take this exam on friday...i am already done with 210-215-216 and well on my way for active directory so i think it should be pretty easy from what i've seen in the "passing" posts...

again good luck!

I'm back from the testing centre. I passed.

The feeling was really not the same after I clicked the End button. There's no blue and green bars to catch my attention. There's just one line of boring plain text saying something like, "Congratulations. You have passed this test. Thank you for testing." No more excitment like I used to have. Hmm... perhaps they can at least make the font size bigger or use different colour or make some words blink or something like that? Nevermind, a pass is a pass.

Overall, I'd say this is quite an easy exam. Or I should say it's the easiest among the Microsoft exams that I've taken.

All the questions are related to daily operation and troubleshooting. And all the questions are very straight forward. I found only one or two questions which were a bit confusing.

Contents wise, it covered all the objectives outlined by Microsoft. Just study based on that and you'll be fine. I personally recommend the study guide from CramSession. It has lots of links to KB articles on relevant topics.

If you've passed the four core exams for MCSE, I'm very sure that you'll find is exam extremely easy.

Good luck to those of you who are going for this exam!

congrats anthonie, I also passed it today. Was easy as you said. Felt the same about the boring grey black congrats you've passed, you are right, they should at least up the font and make it blink or something. but yes, a pass is a pass...

First, congrats to both on the pass!
Myself, I liked the "old" days when M$ not only gave you a score but also gave you a graph of what areas you did well in and what areas you lacked in. As one who takes the material seriously for my employment duties, this gave me an idea of where my weaknesses were and what areas I needed to learn more about. My first experience with the PASS/FAIL was with 70-240 (the monster)and the fail message was not pretty at all, plus it gave no indication of what areas I lacked in or what parts caused me to fail.

well I like the feedback of the objectives graph but it definately won`t keep me out of the test centers
I know after 240 I would have liked to know where I needed to work, but honestly I knew before going in I was week in specific areas, I guess I was hoping not to be tested too thourougly on them.
oops
