| I've passed six tests for the MCSE. 3 of which suffice for the MCSA, of course. So... here's my problem.
I just went out and purchased hella Exchange books so that I can take the test for my final elective. Also, I am scheduled to take a 1 week class for the 70-218 class in early April.
So the dilema is - should I brake down and study my XXX off for the exchange test, then take the 218 test, or should I forget Exchange for the time being, and take only 218? I feel just a little uncomfortable trying to take 218 without much suitable documentation on the test.
Whaddya think?

| I've you've passed all the Core Win2K MCSE tests then you're more than ready for 218. It's a fairly easy exam. Checkout cramsession.com for there guide to the 218 test, read the 5-part guide at www.8wire.com
and read & practice the objectives for the test posted at Microsoft's site for the 218 exam. Then, if you want the experience with exchange, go for that test too. If you don't feel it'll benefit you, then don't. I took the 218 test which bumped off one of the electives I wanted to take. So I'm gonna take the extra elective because I feel it'll benefit me in my current position.  | |

| This is a decision for you to make. I would og on with my elective and postpone that 70-218 course.
Don't be in a rush to get onto the bandwagon. Calm down and gather yourself together.

| If I were you, I would go on with the study of Exchange. Since it's only early March now, I'll have about one month to do the research and whatever I want with Exchange.
When it's time for the scheduled 218 course, go for it. After that, start preparing for 218 exam and finish off the preparation for Exchange exam. Go for the exams when you're ready.
I think the decision can be made based on the following:
1. If your main objective is to get MCSE, take 218. It'll be easier since you've done all the cores for MCSE. Furthermore, it gives you one extra cert.
2. If you want an MCSE with extra knowledge, take the Exchange exam.
3. If you want both the above, take them both.
