Another question of the day...good luck!

You are the administrator of a Windows 2000 network. You want to encrypt SMTP communication between two IIS servers in your domain.

What protocol should you use?

a. SSL
b. TLS
c. HTTPS
d. Kerberos

Sneaky tricky questions....

I would go for B TLS (Transport Layer Security)

Havent got theee slightest idea - but B looks like the least impossible.

I haven't the foggiest either, however:

a. SSL - deals with websites.
b. TLS - dunno so that's probably it.
c. HTTPS - deals with websites.
d. Kerberos - deals with windows auth.

I'll go with the flow and guess "B" either though I've never heard of it.

Tricky question, I initially thought "A" because thinking that we're talking SMTP, ok Exchange server(s). I then re-read the question.

If we were discussing encrypted SMTP with Exchange it could be either A or B depending on the versions of Exchange (5.5 or 2000) you were working with.

But because were only talking about IIS I'll say "B" - TLS

I'll say B also!

TLS--I believe stands for "transport level security". Isn't that what IPSec is??

B - TLS

Explanation:
TLS stands for Transport Layer Security and can be used to encrypt SMTP communication

Good job all - I have put together a bunch of questions and will post them over the next week as QoDs. Until tomorrow!
