Q.) You are the administrator of a Windows 2000 Active Directory network. Your network has one domain and multiple sites. These sites are connected with high-speed T1 lines. A DNS server is used for host name resolution. Changes are frequent, and you want the name server to return the current domain namespace across the network. What could you do to ensure that the data about the domain namespace is more up-to-date than it is currently?
A.) Specify longer TTL values for each DNS name server in the domain.
B.) Remove all cache-only servers in the domain.
C.) Specify shorter TTL values for each DNS name server in the domain.
D.) Install a preferred bridgehead server in each site. | |

| You can't ask yourself question, because you already know the answers. I'll have to say C also. | |

The answer is "C". Since changes are frequent, it makes sense to specify a short ttl value. "A" is a throw off. "B" and "D" make no sense.
Thanks for playing along, someone elses turn now. Whose next? |
