| Well guys and gals,
I took this yesterday morning before I caught my train to my new job.
To be honest, I was very silly with being over cautious with this exam.
It was pretty straight forward, and I should have took it a couple of months back.
The only reason I didn't, was because I did not feel comfortable with IIS.
I read a seperate book on IIS and what extra knowledge I gleaned from it, was not needed for the exam.
I only had 7 Q's that I was not 100% sure of, one of which was in an area in which I have totally forgotten about.
Well, I have to put my 2K track on hold for the next 3 months now, as I need to concentrate on the companies product, in order to become a certified professional in it.

| Congratulations cyberdude !!!
I am taking 70-218 myself over two weeks.
Have you also done 70-216 , I find the 2 books from Microsoft Press have a lot of the same info.
Do you have some last tips for me ???
| Smokeey13 2002-10-09, 3:26 am |
| Awesome man.. I have to agree with you though.. the 70-218 was not nearly as hard as I thought it would be when I took it. I am one of the 5,000 charter members for the MCSA. I took the exam 2 days after it's official release and it was a cakewalk.. I did not study at all.. considering there was absolutely ZERO study material for the exam at the time I took it.. No Books.. no study guides.. no nothing. Basically a run down of Pro, Server and a dib dab of Group Policy.
It's cool you got that new job too. The Market is dry as hell out in my neck of woods.. Wish I had a job at all to go to, so I could use this knowledge I have.
Cheers... ;( | |

| Cheers guys, and for those that are still on their way, keep going and you will all do fine.
My track for the MCSA was A+, N+, 215, 210 and 218.
I will leave the beast till last when I revive my 2K track studies.
This site helped me a lot during my studies, so thank you to all.
All those that are still job hunting, just keep in mind that there is a position waiting for you, it is just a matter of time. Never give up on you IT job hunt, even if youhave to work as something else in between.
3 months to gain their first cert is a bit of a steep hill to climb, but hopefully I will manage it.

| Congratulations. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. You inspire me to believe that there is hope for me. I, too, may be overstudying for 218. It just seems that there is so much stuff included in the objectives. |
