Cross post- dunno where to put this..!!

Hi,
Company's CEO uses Offline files.
Laptop user, Often works out of office and needs offline files enabled. He could always go through NFUSE and access them that way but I dont want to make it too much work for him.
Win XP SP1.
Windows Server 2003 Std Edition.
Not using Roaming profiles.
Home drive maps to \\server\username\"fileStructure"

Now I've gone through the process and have set his \\server\username\"My Documents" folder on the server to be available offline by going through the folder options and enabling the offline settings and to sync when logging off only.

On the laptop,i pointed the My Documents folder to the server... e.g.

C:\doc&settings\username\"My Documents"
points to
\\server\username\"My Documents"

Now after doing a sync, things seem to be work fine. BUT.. unplug the network cable, laptop is offline, he SHOULD BE ABLE to access the offline folder on the desktop- this would be
C:\doc&settings\username\"My Documents"

and he CANT.

what am I doing wrong, Ive gone through the process dozens of times but each time he looses the settings.

Any suggestions, I will be applying the SP2 next time he's around. But i need to get this fixed!!!

Resolved. Reapplied teh group policy and took the server out of exception list under advanced tab from the client side.

works like a charm.
