If I click on word, IE, Admin Tools I got message that state that application failed to intialize properly (0xc0000142) application error. I can't even go to CMD. I can't get to anything. I rebooted my system XP will let me logon but I also get a message Rundll32.exe then I click OK it terminat, back to square one I can't do anything. Do I need to reinstall WinXP Pro again? HELP | |

| Try rebooting and going into safemode and remove zonealarm. If you are running XP2 I would check to see if the update is compatible. | |

| John is thinking of 2000.
In XP you can go back to a restore point if you have system restore turned on.
System restore keeps a backup copy of your system files at certain dates.
Just pick any date before you noticed all the problems.
btw, we deployed SP2 to over 2,500 computers when it first came out and have had no problems. It's always popular to bash a new service pack, but don't believe the bashing. SP2 works fine. |
