win xp networking problem

| check this situation:i have a peer to peer workgroup of 7 win 98 computers,using a router that shares an internet connection.everybody is able to open and work with shared files on other computers.the problem started when i replaced one computer with a new win xp pro.everybody is able to open shared files on the xp pro,but when i am on the new xp pro i have a hard time opening files(excell and word specially)on the other computers,or it's VERY slow.
please help with your ideas. | |
