Okay then, in that case If I do the winXp test first and then do may be another three from the win2k category [ 215, 218, 228 ] then what are my options to upgrade to a .net server MCSE. Does the lone Xp cert have any purpose in it or does it make more sense to take a complete 2k MCSA and then hope that MS gives a 244 type upgrade single exam. Sorry about biggg quest. Im not know to be laconic.

Thanks in advance.

glad to read that!

Seriously though, there is a place for subject changing and off the wall threads. Heck it can even be entertaining. But there are also many threads that are IT-related and should not be tampered with because of their pedagogic value. Just my 5 cents...

I had a chance in tha afternoon to attend a MSDN developer conference to celebrate first year of VS.NET and the bloke at Microsoft could'nt tell me where to get a Eval of windows 2003 server. The news is its gonna take another month or so for a eval to be uploaded in the public domain.

This sucks for a country with a billion people we don't even have a CD version of the eval. Lookks like Im gonna haveta contact someone out there in US.
freak

2003-02-18, 4:06 pm

I think it's part of MSDN. Frankly, i have not looked at it all that much yet. I am focusing on Linux right now...

2003-02-18, 4:49 pm

Im working on the linux platformright now. But I really would like to check out the 2003 server. I liked the beta and I wanna check out how much of UI optimizations and security they've thrown into it.

Also I have no plans to jump of the ms PLATFORM immediately. I min I wanna be familiar with the most recent products and solutions. Lemme see maybe I can borrow a copy of it with someone having a MSDN subscription. Cant afford MSDN or technet subscription though

american residents have to pay a handling charge for eval versions. uk residents usually do not. not sure about india, sorry.

eval versions are also available with microsoft published books, such as this one

good luck.
