I am Sysyems Admin for a relatively small company with 30 users. The Accounts divison uses QuickBooks Enterprise edition for 10 users. In QB, we use a 3rd party s/w that allows check printing. Its PrintBoss NT4 in which that gives a problem periodically. Question is now - 3 workstations keeps on locking up while running QB.EXE, no aditional programs are running, virtual memory is set with max and min rates, 256 mb ram to run XP is sufficient. Cant figure out where the problem lies. Network connection and communication arent having any problems. Kindly advise...need info quickly.

Is this a dos or 32bit program? If dos, then run it in a seperate memory space. Have you used XP's compatability check to see if this program is ok? If it is not designed for XP, have you tried using XP's compatability function, and run it under the platform that it is designed for? Does the s/w firm have an XP patch?
