| Well I was playing with XP, and here are some question that i got. First of all I have ESS 1869 Sound Card, every time I shut down the computer something happens with it and it doesn't work anymore, I have to reinstall all the drivers every time. Maybe anyone knows what can that be? Number two is in the PROGRAM FILES FOLDER it doesn't let me delete some junk like movie maker or xeroks which I don't want to have over there. I'm the Administrator but it doesnt seem that it matters. i finally deleted them in the SAFE MODE, but guess what I got back to the Real Mode and they are once more in that FOLDER.
I need your help guys. Thanks a lot | |

| I have heard that it is impossible to remove movie maker and a few others. Some XP files you can remove by editing the c:\windows\inf\sysoc.inf file and removing the "hide" and then uninstalling them via add/remove programs in control panel, but I don't think that works for movie maker. Sorry couldn't help you. | |

| If XP sees the files as system files, it will automatically replace them if they are damaged or deleted. I don't know if XP sees Moviemaker as part of the OS or not but it sounds like the auto-repair feature at work. | |

| As far as the sound card goes, did you check the HCL for compatibility? Mabye it isnt compatible for XP and it trys to throw it out everytime you start up.
Just my 2 cents. |
