| I just took and failed 70-270.
I've used XP as stand-alone for almost a year, now, and I used the MS Press Kit and Meyer's passport as a review - neither sufficient for a Windows networking novice.
I have little experience with Windows Networks, particularly active directory and group objects and premissions and the test let me know that in a big way.
If you are taking this test with little or no Windows 2000 network experience, then you might want to at the very least read the 70-215 (Windows 2000 Server) info. before you try this one.
Oh, well... back to the books and labs.

| Sorry to hear about the bad news Nordie. Sounds like the test you got for 70-270 focused quite a bit on the networking side of things, but like clarkv mentioned, you now have a specific area to improve your knowledge on. Good luck on your next attempt. | |

| Don't know if you used some practice exams but they might help the next go around. I am using Transcender or Measureup. If you can pass these exams around 900+ you should not have any problems with the real exam.

| Thanks for the replys, encouragement and advice.
I am going to splurge for the Transcender next time.
In retrospect, it might have saved me $125 to purchase it the first time.

| I definitely highly recommend Transcender's. That's what I used to pass the 270 exam in October. They bundled the flash cards for free and they were pretty helpful as well. Good luck! |
