| Is the server inoperable?
Or just Exchange?
What are the corresponding events in event viewer leading up to this stop?
Does the error explicitely state Stop 0x00000044 Exchange?
What service pack for the O/S?
What service pack for Exchange?
What backup software?
I see articles 296734 and 196022, beyond the article you sited.
294876 looks to pertain to a specific driver for specific hardware.
Hope you can get it fixed, but there are a lot of questions that need to be answered. | |

| I have seen a similar problem (STOP: 0x00000044) on a few Compaq (now HP) servers running Windows 2000 Server and Microsoft SQL 2000 server and Compaq (now HP) Insight Manager (the Insight Manager server service, not just the agents which are installed by default if you install Windows 2000 Server using a standard Smart Start installation of the OS). I removed the Insight Manager and the Agents from the server, rebooted and no longer saw the problem. | |

| We have found that this error relates to an HP iLO driver problem. Install the latest drivers for both the iLO and the Advanced System Management driver and restart the server to avoid this happening again.
