1) what is MTA?

Mailbox Transfer Agent. Service that provides message transport to legacy systems, including Exchange 5.5

2) what are transaction logs?

A 5MB file that contains a record of every message in an Exchange storage group providing fault tolerance in the event of disaster.

3) what are circular logs?

Logging system that reuses the same set of transaction logs for new transactions. Circular logging is enabled only when data recovery isn't important.

4) what are microsoft mail connectors?

When routing messages internally, Exchange uses connectors to route messages to other Exchange servers, as well as other mail servers that might be used.

5) what is the differance bettween mail-enabled and mailbox-exnabled users?

Mail-enabled user: an Active Directory object that has at least one external e-mail address associcated with it and can be used as a security principle.

Mailbox-enabled user: an Active Directory object that has an Exchange Mailbox associated with it and can be used as a security principle.

The info above came from a few MS Press books: one for the 224, the other from an Exchange 2003 book.

I am sure it is also in the Administration Guide, but I never got to look through that.

Any resources I used were posted in the 284 thread.

Good luck!

Exchange runs pretty deep on concepts. I worked on it for 9-10 months, install, configure, operate, coexist, upgrade. There is no 'blue pill' for the Exchange Exam.

i got ucertify prep test and i think i am doing good.
i get 53% on my first try then 84% on my second and 97.7% on the third.
the problem is i memorise the questions and answers by then, but i also understand them.

i need more practice doing one test a day. done with 2 test and today i should be done with the third, ready for my exam in 10 days. then i will do the 216 then 217 and then do the 225.
