hello.
i had a problem.

i have a win2k domain, with 2 servers.

server 1 is DC / AD / DHCP / DNS
server 2 is Exchange server.

Both servers have SP3 installed
Exchange 2k have Exch SP3 installed too.

i don`t have any error on event viewer....

but my outlook clients don`t see the exchange server and if i try to access using pop3 accounts, the password is rejected.

any help please!!??!!!!

How are you typing the server name in the client? Make sure you use DomainName\Exchange Server when typing in the outlook client.

i type RRAS2 that is the server name. No mather if i type the ip address the server is contacted, but say something like "the user name is not present onto the address book"

i make another 2 tests

1- pop
2- owa

in both i receive the same problem> access denied..... wrong password, etc...

check a couple of things....( I have no idea about 5.5)
If your using Exchange 2000 then...
1) Make sure that that exchange updated the active directory schema and that each user has his own email account(user@yourdomain) otherwise you would have to add it.
Just view the properties of a user and see whether you have a couple of exchnage tabs out there and browser through them.
2) Make sure that you installed Exchange 2000 after you joined server2 to the domain.
In otherwords, after you have installed AD on server1.
