Hi All,

Hope someone can enlighten me regards about installation problem on the Server.
I have this error message in the midst of the Exchange Server installation with option FORESTPREP.

c:\winnt\system32\lsass.exe terminated unexpectedly with status code - 1073741819. THE SYSTEM WILL NOW SHUT DOWN AND RESTART.

I am using domain admin which has all the domain rights..

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ken

Doesn't testking for 224 tell you the answer?

OUCH! That's cold Lexy.
Did you know that a Domain Admin cannot successfully run setup.exe/forsetprep?
Only Schema Admins can do that. Why?
Because FORESTPREP prepares the schema for the changes Exchange will make to the schema.
I wouldn't know if that is found in any dumps. You learn that by reading a book and doing it on a computer.

Sorry Ken,

Your answer is spot on but swordfish's last post was a plea to trade testkings. It's obvious that braindumps are used to progress this members career.

The Lsass is the local security authentication server and it authenticates users for Winlogon. This indicates that the user does not have enough priviledges to perform the task. And that would be the starting point as you so rightly pointed out.

Why don't you worry about yourself for a change it would be a good start. If people are using braindumps let them feel the heat when its job time.

Hands on is where it counts, as long as you can preform the job that you are assigned then Im all for it.

Am I against dumps, yes, and I was wrong to clown some other guy on the citrix page.
Hey Lex, let me tell you why I want you to fail an exam, it'll pop that balloon called your ego and bring you back to reality to let you know you are a human being.

Sorry my friend I'll leave failing exams up to you as you are so much better at it than I

For a split second I thought that you were actually going to offer advice. Perhaps to check that the installation of Exchange 2000 was performed on a global catalog server, that sort of thing??

Alas, something’s aren't meant to be.

Good advice there AMD, pity you don't heed it

Have anybody noted that there are two completely different members that have swordfish 7X as nickname? This is just an observation....

Hmmmmmmmm. lloks like r_f_t99 was right, there are actually 3 swordfish7x.

swordfish71 who has never posted so we will forget that one

there is swordfish78 who has posed this question and 'hails' from singapore

and

swordfish 70 who last post was trade and 'hails' from NY.

this time i'm gonna have to disagree with you lexy, more research was needed before you flamed this guy. Now I'm not saying this isn't the same guy under a slightly different username but you need more facts before you get the flamethrower out
