Passed this morning with a 68. This was the hardest Comptia test I've taken. Subjective questions, choose the right 3,4,5, some drag a drop, no calculations to do (but know them). Used IT Project+ and Exam Guide (Kathy Schwalbe) and IS Project Management (George Doss). When I scheduled it, I was told it would be a 2-1/2 hr test. Time allowed was 2 hr. Took all of it. I have very limited experience with PM but this will help to prepare me along the way.

Congratulations, I passed my IT Project+ a week ago with a 71. You're right, this is a rough one. I too used Kathy Schwalbe's Exam Prep.

Sat for IT Project+ this week and got 91%.

I'm VERY happy with that. This was definitely one of the toughest exams I've done so far. I agree with the other posts re Kathy Scwalbe's Exam Guide IT Project+. This was an excellent start. I also used William Heldman's IT Project+ study guide. It's not an easy read to begin with. I wish he had set things out in a punchier style for study, but the material is there. I tried using a couple of other books but they weren't as good.

For practice exams, I used Boson. Some typos irritated, but definitely helped.

I passed this last week, and agree with the others that this is a fairly difficult test. My take on it is that you should prepare for it as if it had nothing to do with IT, and everything to do with general project management. You cannot study for this one like you would any other IT cert exam...
