Beta Exams...Does anyone know...?

| Just wondering if anyone knows how long it will take to get the results of whether you pass on a beta exam? I have never taken a beta before and I don't know how that works. I plan on taking the Security + exam on 9/30. | |

| I took betas for Server+, Linux+, and HTI+.
The beta period is usually about 6 weeks. It is usually about 4-6 weeks after the beta closes that they send out results. The wait is kind of tough but you really should know the answer when you leave the testing center by how you feel you did on the exam. Betas are wild cause they have about twice the number of questions as the real test so you study like mad and then there is this huge relief after you finish the exam. I've kind of turned into a beta junkie, taking betas from Compaq & HP (they're usually free and Compaq gives you a voucher to retake if you don't pass the beta). Betas are cool cause it's the "Quest for the Unknown". You get the objectives and then research, research, research.
I was an SME for HTI+. They used to grandfather SMEs but they have changed that to a free voucher for the beta. I think they did it because it helps fill their beta pool. It was kind of weird taking the exam after writing questions and doing item reviews.
Unfortunately, I don't think I can fit the Security+ beta into my schedule. I just finished writing a Cramsession for the new TIA Convergent Technologies Professional (CTP) exam http://studyguides.cramsession.com/cramsession/TIA/CTP/
and I'm taking the Adaptec Certfied Storage Professional (ACSP) exam next week.

| I just took the test 9/28 and sent an email to Comptia to find out the answer to this question. Nov/Dec is when the results will come. | |

| It will probably be like March or April before you get your results...it is unlikely you will get them in 4-6weeks...if you do, lmk...that will be a first...hope you passed!!!  |
