Anyone know if there are any plans to add a Linux + forum?

Are any of you planning to pursue Linux certification?

I'm hoping to get through Network + soon, then I'll chew on Linux +.

I dont think theres a need for a Linux+ forum, everyone just goes to the Linux/Unix forum to post questions. Check there for stats.

Also is there actually a jump in the Linux field?

I'm jumping on it. I will be taking it on the first of Feb. I want this baby under my belt so that I can display my Technical Superiority.

I'm studying big time
for this exam.

I like it, since I am new at Linux
this exam does not seem to be too hard
or too easy. It's like right in the middle.
It's perfect for me because I am not interested at the time for a RHCE cert.
I just want something on the intermediate level. I believe Linux+ is it

I agree dagger this exam has elements of A+, Network+, and a little bit of Server+ in it. When I have gotten the commands down I think I will be ok.

Good Lord that test hurt me bad folks. this exam is not made for the weak hearted. I bombed that baby miserablely. I underestimated the complexity of the exam. People get you commands down pat like the back of your hand. This is what killed me for sure.

Devildog1
sorry you did not pass You'll get it next time. At least you know what to expect
next time round.

I am studying for this exam using the Linux+ Bible and I have set up a Red Hat 7 system here at home to practice on as well.
I plan to take this exam next month.

Thanks for the update about knowing
the commands down cold. I have been
focusing on Linux commands from the start of my studying. So I hope I will do ok come exam time.

Was there any other info about the exam
you can pass on?

I am currently working on this exam. The Sybex Linux+ book is pretty good. If this exam is like the other CompTIA exams that I have taken it should be very easy. Has anyone used the full www.cert21.com practice exam? Is it any good?
