| to get MCDBA you need both the 228 and 229, plus a "networking system" such as 215.
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/m...equirements.asp
you also need an elective, such as 216.
By passing the 210 and 215 and 227 you should earn the MCSA 2000
217 would give you your "core" credits for MCSE
and 226 would count as the required design for MCSE.
To complete MCSE you need two additional electives that you have not claimed as elective or core credit on any other certification from the list:

The "messaging" option is simply a way to distinguish people who took an elective in a specific area such as exchange in this case. The other specialty is security.
Hopefully someone with direct experience with the MCDBA and the path you are asking about will also respond.
good luck. | |

| You can use the same elective test for multiple certifications.
The following will get you to your goal:
MCSA
client test
70-210 or 70-270
networking systems
70-215 (required for MCSE)
70-218 (elective for MCSE)
elective
70-216 (required for MCSE, elective for MCDBA)
Add the following tests for MCSE
networking system
70-217
design test
70-226 (although there are easier choices)
elective
70-229 or 70-029 (required for MCDBA)
Add one more test for the MCDBA
70-228 or 70-028
Not sure where you got your other test numbers from. |
