| Hi,
I recently passed my CCNA exam and would like to specialize in network security .
I was thinking about the CCSA certification.
The problem is that in my current job I can't put my hands on checkpoint software.I can buy the books and that's it . My boss doesn't want to pay for any courses...
Do you think it is possible to pass the CCSA exam without having the program to play with ?
thanks | |

| Hello,
this is maybe possible, but I would not try it.
For many of the questions in the exam you need to know where to find a feature or a button or something else.
The understanding and knowledge of the GUI is the key factor for the exam.
Try to get an eval version from Check Point and install it at home.
Play with the rules, understand the logging and reporting.
Good luck. | |

| Contact the company for a demo. I just read that somewhere. I am thinking about taking the CCSA exam. You don't really need the software, yet it is helpful.
Depending on the way you learn.
A) If you are visual (get the software)
B) If you are literal (get the software)
C) If you need hands/visual help (get the software)
People learn in different ways, and if you are the above and others... get the software. It won't hurt you, it will help a great deal.
Get an old verson of the software, some docs say that the premise/use concept is the same..... | |
