I think yes...
We sell a lot more Checkpoint fw than Cisco PIX... About five times more! I think the situation is the same at other security firms, too...
So the demand on certified checkpoint personal is higher...

Where I work we also promote checkpoint, the cert is useful if you get to work with checkpoint.

We don't promote pix unless the client have it at their site.

It really depends on your clients. My firm sells more PIXes than Checkpoint because of cost. Most of my clients are 100-300 users and they don't want to spend $15,000 to get a Checkpoint, but world rather pay $8000 to get a PIX, so it depends on your clients and their needs.

CheckPoint is very hot on small business in big city....

Just like another MCSE when it first start.

It got potential and we need security on our domain or network!

The company that I am working holds the distributionship for all the SAARC countries.

In my country Checkpoint goes as the #1 firewall. Cisco can't match.

Beleiv me in Sri Lanka we have less than 20 engineers.
