I am a new to solaris. I have Installed Solaris 9 on intell plateform in Windows 2000 Network. Its working fine. But i am not able to ping any other windows machine from solaris and also i am not able to ping the solaris machine from any other windows host. I have 100 Mbps full duplex network.

One of the things which is often forgotten when setting up Solaris is the default router. Without this, you'll struggle with any networking stuff, unless all your machines are in the same subnet.
Use netstat -rn to check whether there is one (it will be listed as "default"). You can use "route add default <address>" to set one up, but you also need to add it to /etc/defaultrouter to make it permanent.
