for your information, never get sun solaris 8 admin part I from examanswers.com.
They are all bullshit, less than 5 questions came out in the real exam. Trust me....pls dun waste your hard earn moneys, buying those useless stuffs, and fail your exam.
Remember my words,anything, i will keep you all update.

I got lots of study materials for this exam, and i need to find out which one is good for passing this exam.
Studying the book alone and practising it hard on a unix server, dun really make sure that you can pass this exam.
If you can show it to me, you are good????
Anyway, i dun think so, coz, you dun really know, what's is certification all about.

You passed???? I know that you are lying to yourself. Let me tell you where went wrong..first since, you are able to reply to my post within one day, i think you should be quite active in this forum. I have'nt seen you mentioning abt your pass, or query on this exam or maybe, you dun feel like telling. According to normal situation, this should not be the case. Or you are one of the special case, i dun know.
Second, the way, you asked me, are just like those typical ppl who trying to deny anything. Pls,use some sense, before asking back my questions, especially, this message if you are going to reply back.
Most important, you left the very clear message over the forum. I mean, the one you posted after my first reply. No way to deny it man. You mention, you had already passed your SCSA, then you should indicate whenther is admin I or II or both. Since, you had already passed it, why did'nt you change your status, you are still working on SCSA. Dun tell me, you forgot...or maybe, you really forgot..........
Am i making the right detectation....think before asking back.....
Let me know, how you going to counter it.........either, your thinking,dun answer or using another excuse waste your time talking to me...or maybe, a simple short one,saying, you no need to prove anything, coz, i know i did that.

| I have passed admin i on november 2 with a 70% score (ufff). I can tell you is a difficult one because some questions you have to write down the answer in a box.
A lot of questions about command options.
And remember, Unix is not microsoft and the bullshit of braindumps.

Rulo, you are right, this exam is really quite difficult, coz, there's box for you to fill in the command, a lot on command questions. congrats to you for passing it.Wish you all the best for your part 2, and soon to be certify for SCSA.

Unless, you are able to convince me that you are good, then i will heed your advice. otherwise, pls pls, dun make such mistakes again.

| I'll admit Dann I'm not the smartest guy nor do I hold any certifications besides the one I'm working on with Java SUN. I'm a programmer and have come here to get some help on a Citrix Server we have just purchased so that's why I joined up to this forum. I've found most people to be helpful..but I think you need to change that attitude. You come across quite cocky for NOT KNOWING ENGLISH...try learning English than maybe we'll listen.
Hope I didn't offend you in anyway but you have put people down in all of your posts...what makes you think your better than everyone else, certainly not your horrible English.

| If you are pissed because you failed the test due to not KNOWING the material, I am glad.
I am tired of people who can pass tests through memorizing the answers to specific questions.
For many of us, the purpose of certification is proving that we know the material.
I have worked with a number of people who have no certifications or degrees and are extremely qualified.
I have also worked with people with "paper" certifications who got through the door, but shortly went back out the same door.
After reading your posts, at least I have the confidence that I will never have to work with you, because you would never make it through the first interview.

Please do some research before you’re trying to preach others.
The way they test you is far away from being fair, because the test is only about 5% of what someone needs to know for a particular subject.
Wait until you do something a bit harder like CCNP or CCIE, then you will realize what I am talking about.
I am not supporting buying exam answer, but test preps like TRANSCENDER is actually good for learning.
All of you should stop attacking Dan.
Dan began with a good attention, then someone made a not very intelligent comment.

First, i started out, telling everyone abt the information,not to get examanswers paper for solaris. And,some ppl are making senseless remark on it, i just let the person know abt it. In the end, what i get....read the second and third post. And worst, more senseless ppl joining in to help that moron. It's not what i want to say, it those ppl, who are trying to act smart, and try to overturn my statement, in the end, they can't do it, they just say that i am rude, boorish,i frankly, speaking , you all judge by yourself, definately, i am the one started this. | All bashing aside, Dan made a good point in that you do need supplemental materials ie cheat-sheets, practise questions orwhatever. The kind of questions they ask are so obscure you would have to study twice as long just to memorize everything. I don't think it will make me any better technically because I did everything from the book. Most of the people I know use Transcenders etc., IT professionals and computer engineers and the like.
Dan doesn't have the best spoken English, but he was able to convey his thoughts in a foreign language to him. Can anyone speak his language in as fluent a manner? To slam him for his English is wrong. That had nothing to do with the topic.
Also the moderator, Paisleyskye, should have moderated. She should have tried to difuse things instead of instigate them. She might want to go to www.amazon.com to get a book on conflict resolution and cultural sensetivity.
Dan felt that he lost face when chuacw posted his reply. It may have been interpreted as a derogatory comment. Especially when Dan wrote in to give some helpful advice and then kind of got put down for it.

For your information I am not the moderator of the Sun Solaris forum on this site, nor have I ever been the moderator of this forum.
I am the moderator of the A+, MOUS and Women in IT forums on this site.
Therefore, I cannot do anything like delete posts or threads or close posts or threads in any forum that is not my own. The only thing I could do is to make a post asking him to stop slamming our senior members as he did, and to stop making threats toward them which he did.
There is no specific moderator assigned to this forum. In other cases of forums with no specific moderator we just all visit from time to time and make sure people aren't killing each other or bashing each other. If they are, we make a post.
I only have the necessary permissions to end conflicts in my own forums.
Additionally, I am very offended at your comment about cultural sensitivity referring to me. I have never, ever, ever made any cultural remarks on this site and I truly resent that comment. | |

I was trying to cover a lot of ground in my reply and I didn't intentionally aim that remark at you. However since you do have Moderator under you name your comments do carry more weight than other's on this site. It is seen in a policing light. (IMO) When you replied to Dann did you think your comments would difuse what was happening or make it worse. I can only assume from the comment you made was that you might have known things would escalate. IMO being a Moderator means difusing situations and also dropping the hammer when need be. By saying that you are not a Moderator of this forum was news to me. I also thought you were. Your comments are made under the "examnotes" umbrella. As such I feel a little more tact could have been used.

Want to judge me whenther, i am wrong, read the first post till the last, why i post the thread, who making those remarks on me first, i mean first, what's wrong of me saying them back, when they make those terrible comment on me. They are the one, useless and brainless fool.

In my experience, new members with few posts who are making threats and bashing senior members generally tend to refrain from doing so after they are told to stop. So, yes, I really thought it would diffuse the situation. I did not expect Dann to continue on with his shenanigans. It does. But I can only delete or lock threads and posts in my forums. I only have the correct permissions to be able to do it in my own forums. If this had of happened in one of my forums I would have locked the thread immediately.
The only thing I could do in the Sun Solaris forum was to post a comment. I cannot do what I do not have the permissions to do.

No, I'm really not. I am the moderator of the A+, Women In IT and the MOUS forums on this site, but not the Sun Solaris forum. This forum has no specific moderator. The moderators of the forums are all listed beside the forums which they moderate on the forums listing page.

| Tact is a skill that is learned. No offence to Dann, but after the first three posts any chance of him showing any tact went out the window. IMO Moderators are held up to a higher standard. I'm not saying what you wrote was wrong, but maybe in hind sight things could have been worded differently.
(above is a great example of tact)
