Part ll. What's min. equipment to practise exercises in Student's Guide?

| Hi All
I'm studying for Part ll and wondered if anyone can advise me as to the minimum equipment i require in order to practise all the exercises in the Partll Guide.
My problem is that i only have a Ultra5 with one hard disk. I've discovered that i would need a spare disk in order to carry out the exercises on Disk Management. Would it be safe to carry out those exercises on my Ultra5?
I plan to network my Sun box up to 2 intel machines. Any tips on what i need to do? This advise would be really appreciated, I'm currently stuck because i haven't been able to do any of the exercises on the system. I can now see that i should've bought an Ultra10 instead, but anyhow i'm sure there must be something i can do with this Ultra5.
Please Help!
Thanx in advance

| I don't know what exercises you are talking about. If you're talking about Solstice Disk Suite and a some course book you're working from, you can answer the questions on the test without doing any exercises if you study the material.
Pentium 200 MMX with 32 MB RAM and Solaris 7 X86 will work fine for an Intel machine. When you install, I would suggest bypassing the mouse/monitor tests. I've ran into a few variables with graphics cards and network cards, and a little luck along with trail and error is usually involved. |
