| Sure that this will get some attention, a newby to the area with Cisco certs. Well, to put it short, I am finishing up with my Cisco Certifications in the next few weeks and I am prepping for the Sun Admin I and II certifications after that.
I have a Sun Ultra Spark 5 running Solaris 8 and some other goodies that I got my hands on pretty cheap and was hoping that someone would be able to tell me the difference between these Sparc Stations and the actual industry Sun Servers. At lest from an admin point of view, obviously they will take up more space and won't be so clunky to get around it.
Just looking to find out what challenges I will be facing when I get my hands on the real thing.
Also, I see tons of different OS's out there for testing on. Such as Version 7 vs Version 8. Does it make a difference? Is industry up to 8 yet or are they still back in the earlier versions? Ask this because some of the boxes that I work around are running earlier versions.
