| Hey folks,
A little help and encouragement here please. I have been foundering on studying for this exam for a few months now. I am new to Solaris and just cannot find the hook in studying for these tests. I was wondering what you sucessful test takers have used for studying for these tests. I have the Official course books and have loaded the Intel version of Solaris 8 on a box at home. My problem is what to focus my energies on. Any help in this area will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! | |

| Whats your motivation to get the SCSA? Are you are unix admin? If you have a solaris box at home and the course books you really shouldn't have any trouble at all.

| I'm sorry if you didn't find my earlier post helpful. The official course books have all of the answers to the questions you will find on the exam. These guides are already compressed - there is much more to know about solaris then what you will find listed as a test objective for certification. If you have the offical guides and a test box at home w/ solaris installed you are already at a great advantage. My advice is to focus your study efforts on the guides and then review the study questions at http://www.solarisprep.com. Which part are you having trouble with? User mgt, device mgt, printing, shell constructs, etc, etc??? If you learn better by CBT's let me know and I can send you a link to get the Solaris Java Tutors (JT's). Some people learn better by CBT's, and some people (like me) learn best by being put into a test lab w/ a bunch of books.
Regards,
Mark |
