i wanna know that is it necessary to have sun workstations to do scsa or intel based computers can do the job and if they can
plz tel me to wat extent r they useful

actually im imterested in doin scsa but all the acadamies r offering scsa on intel based system canany body tell me the differnce

Solaris runs on Intels as well, you know. I don't think there is much of a difference in the software from an admins point of view. A comparison of the hardware can be found at:

As far as I know, sparcs tend to run on larger machines, but you should do OK running Solaris on an Intel machine.
