Question...I have attained my MCSE and MCP certifications and passed one of four tests required for CCNP. I was recently sent by my employer for some Sun training. It was an introduction course so it didn't go "too" in depth, but it was enough that the "Sun bug bit". From a career advancement perspective...should I finish my CCNP or start delving into the Sun material?

P.S. Glad this site is here. I have been looking around for a good Sun discussion group.

We just added the Solaris forum today, hope it will get as active as our other forums.

We are also adding exam notes and other info for Solaris.

Hi ccnpsoon,

I would as well finish the CCNP as start to the sun certification. It takes a long time to get really familar with any UNIX/Linux derivat. So you can't become a solaris guru in a short time. But people with good skills in MS, Networking and UNIX are rare. I know, it's lot of work to become in more than one area specialist, but it's every time worth you spent about it
