Does anyone know which books are good for 70-175, 70-176 and 70-100?

Thanks..

Depends on what you are trying to achieve. I would recommend MCSD in a Nutshell by James Foxall, this covers 175 & 176, but it will only be effective if you have a good grasp on VB already. The Exam Cram series of books are also nicely written, they help a great deal if you don't know your strong/weak points, they also outline what topics you will need to cover.

As for 70-100, well, I am yet to find a good book on this exam. Let me know if you find one.

I think I would be inclined to go for Sybex, that is not to say that MP doesn't have some good books though...

The Exam Cram range is put out by Coriolis.

Tell me where you are at with your VB knowledge and I will tell you what I think are the best books.

I think examcram is generally aimed at people with some experience who need direction for that particular exam. I am currently reading the examcram book for the desktop exam and I understand most of it and am still learning a lot, that is after reading over 5 books on VB and OOP(I started not knowing anything).

They seem to cover some material that wasn't covered in the Hawhee book (the one that covers both VB exams).

All of the books I have read so far have been really well written and structured, maybe check out Howard Hawhee's book on both 175 & 176...........

Good Luck!

Being a beginner you should probably start with a begginers book - there are heaps of these books about, most of them are pretty good, I personally learnt using SAMS Teach Yourself VB in 24HRS & SAMS Visual Basic Interactive Course. Both books are nice and cheap. From there you should buy the MCSD In a Nutshell, as that book (much like the Cram books) spells out exactly what you need to know for the exams 176 & 175.

VB Help forums are also extremely helpful.
