Passed 070-100. Now a MCSD!

| Hello All,
I just completed 070-100 exam and passed with a score of 871. This was my last exam to complete for MCSD req. There were 4 case studies. There was one Build List and Reorder and 4 Create Tree questions. All the Create Tree questions was with Logical DB Design. There was 3 Drop and Connect. 12 Multi choice questions made up the rest the exam.
Transcender was a big help. It will give an insight into the Kind of questions to expext. Cassie's Examsareeasy.com and msexpert.com also helped.

| I thought 029 was harder than 100. I scored more in 029 though. I base my judgement on the hours I had study, time I had to really think in the exam and the kind of questions that appear in the exam. Logical DB design takes up most of the questions in 100. They are pretty much alike. You can crack them in very less time. 029 requires more intensive thinking while answering. More than one answer appears to be correct and there might very subtle differences. Since we will be extra careful, chances of scoring higher will be more.
Folks preparing for 229 should be aware that it is lot tougher than 029.

| If you have the full Transcender test and can pass them because you understand what is being asked then you shouldn't have a problem. If you don't have the full Transcender test, then at least go download the demo. It won't be a good measure of if you are ready but it will give you a very good idea what to expect. | |

| Dont worry about the Case studies. They will be easy and quick to understand. If you haven't used Transcenders then it would be better for you to read the questions first before reading the Case Study. Only few paragraphs of the Case Study will be important to answer the questions.
Practise writing ER Diagrams and associating attibutes to Entities. This will be major chunk of the questions for Case Studies. Go to ExamsAreEasy.com and you can find a sample test. You can expect half the questions from that in the actual exam.
If you dont know already, every case study will have a time slot and you have to complete all the questions in that section in that time frame. You cannot use that time for other sections.
Dont Worry. You will be surprised how easy it would be.

| Thanx alot thinker & Arun I've got the transcender full today and I begin with it I finished two case studies just nice about the concepts I feel that I'm good with them,
bytheway Arun do u remember which cases did u get in ur exam and what was they about, I'm going after tomorrow to take it so hope anyone can help me more.
It's my first exam in the track of the MCSD.
