Author 70-100 exam

Well, I just took the Solutions architecture exam for the first time and failed it. 530 . Does anyone know how they grade this one. I know in the other exams, if you only got part of the answer right, you didn't get credit for it. Your answers were either completely right or completely wrong. Is it the same on this exam. With only 20 questions, each one will count towards much of the final score.

Any suggestions for next time?

this test is design and conceptual techniques (as you have already seen) - so memorizing and regurgitating won't work on this exam. i went through the Exam Prep book for Architectures (Coriolis) and used Trancender's study cd to prepare for the test.

The 70-100 exam is unlike most Microsoft exams in that you CAN receive points for a partially correct answer.

Another suggestion for your studies: Try reading the examples on database design in the MSDN. Knowing these should get you quite a lot of extra marks on the exam as it is heavily tested.

Good luck next time!

Thanks for the information. I am glad to hear that you can recieve partial credit for questions on this exam. I am going to give it another try next week. Wish me luck.
